Documents and data coming out of the federal government are huge pieces of the puzzle when it comes to understanding what Congress and the agencies are up to. Getting them fast can make the difference between taking action on issues important to you or sitting on the sidelines.

By adding Hot Docs to your searches on CQ.com, you can discover hidden gems that can make a big difference in you policy agenda. Seeing a well-timed press release can explain more than what the Member intended, reading a GAO report for yourself may give you a new insights, or seeing the Manager's Amendment the night before the bill goes to the floor can give you the time you need to make a difference.

Be sure you include Hot Docs in the searches that you use for alerts. It's also a great idea to receive the daily listing of documents added to Hot Docs. By seeing everything that's coming in, you're sure to find something you didn't know you needed. You can quickly set up the daily email from the Alerts Wizard by selecting the Hot Docs email under the Issues option.
