CQ Roll Call Announces Sujata Mitra as Director of Marketing Communications
Washington, DC (December 21, 2012) – CQ Roll Call, an Economist Group business, announced today that Sujata Mitra has been named Director of Marketing Communications, reporting to Valerie Voci, Vice President, of Marketing. Prior to moving into this position, Mitra served as Manager of Media Relations.
“In the 2 years that Sujata has been the Media Relations Manager, she re-established CQ Roll Call editorial as go-to-source for major national and local news shows and successfully tripled our media exposure.” said Voci. “Earlier this year, Sujata took on added responsibility for the marketing department and the CQ Roll Call brand, and her experience in both sides of media – from being an award wining producer to her work at national public relations agencies makes her a perfect fit for this role.”
Mitra came to CQ Roll Call in 2010 from the public relations firm, Allison & Partners. Before Allison & Partners, Sujata worked at Dan Klores Communications in New York City, representing high profile media clients such as The Dr. Oz Show, Rainbow Media, and The Golf Channel. Before working in public relations. Ms. Mitra spent 7 years in national and local news. She spent 6 years at WPIX-TV where she won an Emmy award for the station’s coverage of the one-year anniversary of 9-11 and earned a second Emmy nomination.
